Primary occupation and work experience
The primary occupation does not necessarily have to be the applicant’s most recent job, but the claimed work experience must meet IRCC’s program rules and be supported by credible evidence of duties, duration and remuneration.
Language and education
Applicants must meet the minimum language threshold and education requirement. Foreign education generally requires an Educational Credential Assessment for immigration purposes when relied upon.

Meeting the Federal Skilled Worker minimum requirements includes the program’s selection-factor threshold. After eligibility is established, the candidate’s CRS score and the invitation system become relevant.
Evidence review
